Customer Responsibilities

Section 1 — Customer Responsibilities

  • Background Check Requirement (Companions)
    Companions must complete and maintain a current background check through the MyTodayAngel.com platform. Failure to maintain a valid background check may result in suspension or removal from the platform.

  • Provide a Safe Environment
    You are responsible for ensuring that the service environment is safe, clean, and suitable at all times. This includes:

    • Maintaining a smoke-free environment during service hours
    • Ensuring pets are restrained or kept separate unless agreed otherwise
    • Removing or addressing known hazards or unsafe conditions
    • Complying with applicable health and safety regulations

    Failure to provide a safe environment may result in immediate suspension or termination of services without refund.

  • Respectful Conduct
    Customers must treat companions with respect and professionalism at all times.

  • Follow Platform Rules
    You agree to follow all platform guidelines, policies, and service boundaries.

  • No Off-Platform or Prohibited Requests
    Customers may not request companions to:

    • Perform services outside the platform
    • Break rules or violate policies
    • Engage in unsafe, illegal, or inappropriate activities

Section 2 — Our Services (What We Do)

Promoting Independence & Daily Living

  • Encouraging seniors to remain independent and active within safe limits
  • Supporting consistent daily routines
  • Guiding activities step-by-step (no physical assistance)
  • Encouraging light, safe movement (no lifting)
  • Assisting with basic organization, calendars, and reminders
  • Promoting healthy habits such as hydration, meals, and rest

Companionship & Social Support

  • Friendly conversation and emotional support
  • Games, hobbies, puzzles, and activities
  • Reading aloud or writing assistance
  • Memory and mental engagement activities
  • Short walks together (no physical assistance)
  • Support during social or family outings

Light Household Tasks

  • Light housekeeping (tidying, dishes, dusting)
  • Laundry and folding
  • Light cleaning and organization
  • Bed-making and basic home upkeep

Meal Support

  • Preparing simple meals and snacks
  • Light cooking (non-medical diets only)
  • Assistance with grocery planning

Errands & Outings

  • Grocery shopping and basic errands
  • Prescription pickup (no medication handling)
  • Shopping trips for supplies
  • Mailing packages or letters

Transportation & Appointments

  • Transportation to appointments and activities
  • Remaining with the customer during appointments (if requested)
  • Assistance with planning outings

Safety Awareness

  • Monitoring for fall risks or unsafe conditions
  • Encouraging safe movement (no lifting)
  • Noticing changes in behavior or well-being
  • Contacting family or emergency services if needed
  • Providing general peace of mind for customers and families

Section 3 — Services We Do Not Provide

To maintain clear service boundaries and ensure safety, the following services are not provided:

  • Medical Care
    No medical services, clinical care, or healthcare decision-making. Companions do not diagnose conditions, provide treatment, or determine medication dosages.

  • Medication Administration
    No administration of medication. Companions may assist with reminders, reading labels, or handling pre-organized medications, but do not determine or modify dosage.

  • Hands-On Personal Care
    No bathing, toileting, or incontinence care. Light, non-invasive assistance such as reminders or grooming prompts may be provided.

  • Heavy Physical Assistance
    No lifting, transferring, or physical support that requires significant strength or creates risk of injury.
    Companions may provide standby assistance, steadying, or guided support, including assistance entering or exiting a vehicle, as long as no full lifting or unsafe physical strain is involved.

  • Therapeutic Services
    No massage, physical therapy, or rehabilitation services.

  • Financial or Legal Activities
    No bill payment, financial management, or witnessing of legal documents.

  • Childcare or Unrelated Services
    No childcare or services for individuals who are not the registered customer.

Section 4 — Cancellations

  • Standard Cancellation Policy
    Customers may cancel a scheduled service without charge by providing at least twenty-four (24) hours’ notice before the scheduled start time.

    Cancellations made less than twenty-four (24) hours in advance, including same-day cancellations or failure to appear, will be billed in full.

    All cancellations must be submitted through the platform using the designated account or booking management features. Cancellations made outside the platform may not be accepted.


  • Excessive Cancellations
    Repeated or excessive cancellations may result in suspension or termination of the account at the Company’s discretion, with or without prior notice, subject to applicable law.

Section 5 — Payment

  • Platform Payments Required
    All payments must be made through the MyTodayAngel.com platform in accordance with the rates and instructions provided at the time of booking.

  • No Cash Payments
    Cash payments or off-platform transactions are not permitted.

  • Taxes
    Applicable taxes will be charged in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

SECTION 6 — SAFETY • Companions must call 911 during emergencies • Homes must be safe, clean, and accessible • Customers may not request companions to perform unsafe tasks

  • Physical Assistance
    No lifting, transferring, or mobility support

  • Therapeutic Services
    No massage, physical therapy, or rehabilitation services

  • Financial or Legal Activities
    No bill payment, financial management, or witnessing of legal documents

  • Childcare or Unrelated Household Work
    No childcare or services for individuals who are not the registered customer

Section 7 — Termination

Either party may terminate services at any time.

We may suspend or terminate services immediately, without prior notice, if:

  • The service environment is unsafe
  • Platform rules or policies are repeatedly violated
  • Payment obligations are not met
  • Companions or customers are treated in a disrespectful, inappropriate, or unsafe manner
